How do I defeat Optimum Alfred in Sims 2 on ds lite? ?

I have become the raticator and done all the moves including the karate chop. And although it has come up with explanation mark as if ive done it... it still doesnt work and the chopper comes over his head and flys away! Argh! Any ideas anyone?

"Go to the Rat Cave and put on the Rat Suit, then go to the Sun Deck and confront Optimum Alfred. You must act quickly, using the masque, then the Rat-a-rang and finally, your karate moves, before he has time to escape by activating a rotor blade on the top of his head.

If you allow Optimum Alfred to escape, you will have to deal with his robot army on the Sun Deck or avoid them as you skulk back to the Managerial Suite. If you want to make certain that the conflict remains between Optimum Alfred and yourself, save your game before you confront him. If he manages to escape, simply reload your game and use your Ratticator moves again... until you finally beat him."

I think when I played this game, I just kept attacking his army (you need to do it at least a few times). If memory serves me right, Optimum will come back again.
