Do you support this law making it's way through the TN house and senate?

Anyone caught wearing their pants below their waist exposing their underwear or bare skin will be fined $250.00 and must serve 160 hours of community service.

There are varying degrees of fines as well as varying degrees of community service - from 40 to 160 hours based on the first, second, third, etc offense.

The "saggy pants bill" being sponsored by a Memphis lawmaker addresses pants worn below the waist that expose the wearer's underwear.

Since it does not address exposure of the buttocks, not the exposure of one buttock, nor does it address people wearing saggy pants with no underwear on at all, it is very unlikely that the bill will make it past the full legislature.

That said, it's a sad day when lawmakers have nothing better to do than to try and put together a dress code that is doomed to failure out of the gate. Perhaps if the peoples' representatives took their job seriously and quit making amockery of the legislative process, we would have a lot less moronic laws, and instead have some legislation aimed at the common good with some teeth in it.

So, no, I don't support the law, and yes, Bubba from Memphis who is tired of seeing skivvies is an idiot.
